Place Your Bets! Boat Races Coming to Thousand Needles

World-designing guru Alex Afrasiabi has confirmed there will be boat races in a future Cataclysm patch. Mr. Afrasiabi dropped the beans while discussing what’s changed in Thousand Needles and other beloved zones with the coming of the new expansion.

If these planned boat races indeed push through then there’s two possible ways of going about it. Blizzard can do a circular track race around the Fizzle and Pozzik’s Speedbarge landmark, similar to the sunken Mirage Raceway track that used to host the engineering rocket contests between the goblins and gnomes.

They can also up the ante by adding a Cheap WoW Gold betting aspect to it. Before you know it, thousands of players will be heading down to Thousand Needles for some good ‘ol racetrack cheering, and Blizz can just skim off the betting proceeds.
